The Governments of the Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland announce the appointment of a new Ambassador to Liberia and High Commissioner to Sierra Leone.
According to Foreign Ministry release, the new Great Britain and Northern Ireland Ambassador is Mr. Ian Noel Hughes, Her Majesty’s Non Resident Ambassador to the Republic of Liberia. He assumes duties in March 2009.
Ambassador Hughes, an outstanding diplomat replaces Madam Sarah Macintoch, who will be transferring to another diplomatic service position.
